As the son of a Morgan Stanley stockbroker it was probably inevitable that John F. Carter would become an active trader. After studying international finance at the University of Cambridge John graduated from the University of Texas and, having actively traded for many years, made the move to full time trading in 1996.

A Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA), John is also the President and Founder of Trade the Markets Inc. where he publishes newsletters covering futures, options and equities trading, and forex. A regular contributor to SFO Magazine and popular speaker at Trader’s Expo events, John is also author of Mastering the Trade in which he shares his hard-won five-point technique for successful swing trading.
